DENNIS PAUL JOHNSON

of Munising/Benton Harbor Michigan

Dennis died January 30, 2022 surrounded by family at the Spectrum Hospital in Saint Joseph, Michigan. Dennis had several occupations in his lifetime but the one that he was most proud of was his job at D.J. Jacobetti VA home in Marquette, MI, where he was an LPN. Dennis loved the outdoors and always took care of as many wild creatures as he could. Feeding the birds, squirrels, racoons, deer and occasionally a bear gave him a sense of peace.

Dennis is survived by his sister Barbara (Rick) Warner of Benton Harbor, MI; William (Phyllis) Johnson, Sandra (David) Aaron, and James Johnson of Munising, Catherine (Paul) Goings of Fort Wayne, IN, Karen (Steve) Kling of Pensacola, FL, Sister-in-law Debbie Johnson of Munising. Dennis was loved and is survived by several nephews and nieces : Michael and Daniel Johnson, Jacob, John, and Ben Warner and Paul Goings II, Mary Ellen Pond, Rachel Warner-Kowalk, Rebecca and Amy Johnson, Allison Wirth and Ashley Aaron, Rachel Foster and Nicole Malcolm as well as several great nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by Della, his cat, who was his constant companion over the last several years and loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father Frank G Johnson Jr, mother Mary, brothers Bruce, Robert, Matthew and nephew Barry Johnson.

Graveside services will be held at the Munising Township Cemetery in Wetmore on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 12:00 noon.  There will be a time of visiting at fellowship at the Munising Township Hall in Wetmore following the service at the cemetery.
