Jessica Marie Richardson

Jessica Marie Richardson, age 42, of Miller Road in Munising, died at 5:30 a.m. at her home under the loving care of her family. She was born September 3, 1980 in Manistique, Michigan to Sherrie Richardson and raised in Munising. In 1993 she became a big sister to Joey Richardson. Jess loved rooting for the Detroit Lions on Sundays, going for rides in the car, tanning in her pool during the summer, as well as swinging in her swing, and playing music on her toy keyboards. Jess enjoyed camping, visiting with her friend Sybil, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Jess brought joy to the lives of so many. Her smile would light up any room, and her laughter warmed every heart. Jess had a silly side to her, especially when sharing kisses with her Grandma Betty or sneaking in drinks with her Uncle Bobby. During family dinners, she would never leave her Uncle Jimmy alone, and when she had enough of her mother’s cooking, her Aunt Rhonda would be there to sneak in a couple more bites. Anyone who knew Jess, also knew how much she loved her brother, Joey.

Jess is survived by members of her immediate family - her mother Sherrie Richardson, brother Joey Richardson, Uncle James “Jim” Richardson, Aunt Rhonda (Joe) Suardini, Uncle Robert “Bobby” Richardson, and Aunt Anne (Andy) Cromell; Cousins - David (Jessica), Kevin (Valerie), Sherrie (Dustin Curcio) Suardini, Robert Richarsdon, Jimmy and Willow Richarsdon; And numerous amounts of other aunts, uncles, and cousins that, if all listed, would fill up an entire book of pages.

Jess was preceded in death by her grandparents - Jim and Betty Richardson; great-grandparents - Leslie and Mae Rochefort, James, Lucy, and Betsy Richardson; grandparents - Harold “Wake” Wakeford  and Candice “Candy” Nelson; aunt - Fran Glyptis; cousins - Rita Lynn and Jennifer Rose Richardson, and Dennis Rochefort; great-uncles and aunts - Norman Rochefort, Andy and Linda Demogola, Willard Syers, Scott Stone, and Ismah Albright.

Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Friday, April 7, 2023.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.   Pastor James Petersen of the Wesleyan Church will conduct Jessica’s funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
