Angeline Clark, age 101, formerly of AuTrain, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. Angeline was born on December 12, 1906 in Gilbert, Minnesota to the late Anton and Angeline Erjovic. At the age of fifteen she moved to Detroit and began working at the bakery Grandma's Breakfast Nook. Angeline married the baker's son Vern Clark and together they raised their daughter Vernice. They worked in Detroit for many years before moving to Van Nuys, CA where they owned and operated a laundry mat. Angeline moved to Porterville, CA where she lived on her own until she was ninety-seven and moved to AuTrain to live with her nephew Herb. She enjoyed going for walks, being in the outdoors, and visiting garage sales.
Angeline is survived by her nephew Herb Brown of AuTrain, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Vern in 1976, daughter Vernice in 1974, and brothers Tony and Lou (Ruby) Brown.
There will be no public services held at this time.
