Anna T. Carlson

Munising Ann Carlson, native of Munising, died early Sunday morning, August 25, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Carlson, and her daughter, Barbara Lukowski. She is survived by her son, William "Bud" Carlson, and her grandchildren Paul and Alison Lukowski, and Alicia Carlson. Residing at Lake Shore Manor for over twenty years, Ann lived a simple life and found joy in small things. She loved music, listened to her radio and record collection every day, and loved playing the piano and accordion. Known for her sharp wit, she could find hard truths and humor in everything she encountered. She was a quiet woman who preferred a good novel to idle chatter and a Detroit Tiger baseball game to parties. Ann wanted her passing to be as simple and practical as her life; at her request, no services will be held. For those who were fortunate enough to know Ann, she will be missed.
