Anna “Ann” Klosowski, age 87, of Shingleton, died on Saturday morning, May 7, 2016 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising where she had resided the past two and a half years. She was born on September 12, 1928 in the Melstrand area to John and Veronica (Zurovski) Klosowski. Ann attended school in Shingleton and she loved being at home on the farm. She loved animals and gave many dogs a good home. Ann was faithful to her Catholic faith and always enjoyed attending Mass.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law – Stella and Richard Debelak of Munising; sister-in-law – Pat Klosowski of Munising; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, longtime friend and companion Tony Matekel, and siblings Helen Anderson, Edward Klosowski, Pearl Gurski, Mary Debelak, Sophia Olson, Lillian Kirmo, Jennie Heyrman, John Klosowski, and Walter Klosowski.
Father Chris Gardiner will celebrate Ann’s Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Munising. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
Memorials are requested to be made to the Alger County Animal Shelter in Ann’s memory.
