Arnold Methot

April 12, 1927 — December 14, 2015

Arnold Weldon "Tiny" Methot, age 88, of Luzerne, Michigan passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 after a long illness. He was born on April 12, 1927 to George and Georgianna (Perault) Methot in Trenary, Michigan. Arnold graduated from Mather High School in 1945. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was stationed in Italy. After his service, he moved to Wyandotte, Michigan where he met his wife and started his family. Arnold was a Quality Control Supervisor for the Steel Division of Ford Motor Company where he worked for twenty-nine years. Arnold was active with the American Legion and the Moose Lodge in both Munising and Mio/Luzerne. He was also a member of Munising's Knights of Columbus and a life member of Wyandotte's V.F.W.

Arnold is predeceased by his parents and his eleven siblings and their spouses. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Geraldine, son Lawrence (Elizabeth) Methot, and sister-in-law Edith Methot.

Services will be at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Thursday, May 26, 2016.  Visiting time with family and friends will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the memorial service.  Deacon Tom Moseley will conduct Arnold’s service in the funeral home’s chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising where the American Legion and Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
