Barbara L. Grzybowski

Barbara L. Grzybowski, age 89, of Eben Junction, MI and formerly of Athens, WI died early Tuesday morning, May 11, 2021 at U.P. Health Systems – Marquette following a brief illness.  She was born on August 22, 1931 in Monroe, Michigan to the late Louis and Dorothy (Brancheau) Uckley.  Barb graduated from Monroe High School and then worked in retail.  In December of 1964, she married Stanley W. Grzybowski and together they raised their three children.  In her younger years, Barb enjoyed bowling and playing basketball. In 1983, their family moved to Athens, Wisconsin.   Barb worked for Philips Plastics for ten years in the molding and painting departments, she enjoyed her job and the time spent with her friends at work.  She was an avid sports fan who loved cheering on the Packers, playing BINGO, solving wordsearch puzzles, watching gameshows, and taking her grandkids fishing.  Barb also enjoyed spending time at the Medford Farmers Market and working as the checkout clerk at the family strawberry farm.

She is survived by her three children - Stan Grzybowski, Jr. of Eben, MI, Michael (Stephanie) Grzybowski of Gladstone, MI, and Constance (Kurt) Reil of Wausau, WI; grandchildren – Samantha, Parker, Tyler, Sierra, Alexis (Dakota), and Lilliana; great-grandchildren – Rowan, Serenity, Ameriana, Paxton, and Levi; and sister – Luella.  Barb was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stan, and sister Ruth.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
