Gwinn / Munising
Barbara Wooley, age 48, of Gwinn and formerly of Munising, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 22, 2008 at her home. She was born on November 17, 1959 in Saginaw. Barb and her family moved to AuTrain in 1969 and she graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1977. She worked for Marquette Alger Community Mental Health for many years. Barb married S. Michael Twork and they had twin boys, Robert and Steven, and a daughter, Samantha. Barb and her children moved to K.I. Sawyer around the year 2000. Barb and her children attended Victory Lutheran Church. For the last five years, she was very active with the Salvation Army Recreation Center. She enjoyed shopping and visiting with friends, spending time with her children, and loving her cats. Barb was a very loving and caring person.
She is survived by her children - Robbie, Steven, and Samantha Twork all at home; brothers - L.E.E. Wolf of Chatham and Larry Stutesman of New Concord, KY. Barb was preceded in death by her parents and Mike Twork.
A memorial service will be conducted by Captain Donna Rose on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Recreation Center located at 302 Explorer, K.I. Sawyer. Interment will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The Salvation Army, 1009 W. Baraga, Marquette, Michigan 49855.
