Betty Lou (Strand) Brown of Wetmore, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 under the loving care of her family and a very special nurse from North Woods Home Care, Shanon.   Betty was born on October 22, 1929 to Carl and Grace (Masters) Strand, Sr.  She lived in Munising where she met and married Malcolm Brown.  They then moved to Flint, Michigan where they both raised their family.   After Malcolm retired, they moved back to Munising.  Betty loved raising her children, entertaining family and friends in her home, travelling, and camping with her husband.  Most important in her life was serving her Heavenly Father Jehovah God.  She also loved teaching her neighbors about the Bible.  Her strongest conviction was the wonderful hope from the Bible that states that she and others can live again on a Paradise Earth where there will be no more sickness, tears, pain, or death. (Revelations 21:4.)

Betty is survived by her husband of over sixty-eight years – Malcolm; their three children -  Ron (Tracey) Brown of AuTrain, Robert (Threase) Brown of Cuming, GA, and Kristina Brown of Caro, MI; grandchildren – David (Jennefer) Trahan and Marissa (Loren) Burrell; great-grandchildren – Anthony and Alexander Phillips; sisters -  Judy Cromell and Bonnie Winkowski; sisters-in-law – Lotus Beggs, and Beverly Strand; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her daughter - Karla K. Marlin; parents -  Carl and Grace (Masters) Strand; sister – Gwendolyn Hamilla; brothers -Ronald (Jeanne) Strand and Carl “Corky” Strand; and brothers-in-law – Jerry Cromell and Lawrence “Winks” Winkowski.

Betty’s family would love all to join them for a memorial for Betty on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Connors Road in Munising.
