Munising / Flint
Beloved wife, mom, and grandma, Betty Lou (Hamilla) Kendall, age 56, of Flint and formerly of Munising, died unexpectedly in the Emergency Room of Munising Memorial Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, August 26, 2009. She was born on May 10, 1953 in Munising to the late Walter and Gwen (Strand) Hamilla. As a young child, Betty Lou's family moved to Flint and she was raised there. She worked at Eastown Bowl for many years. Betty Lou always put her family first and she enjoyed bowling and playing BINGO with her daughter Lindi.
She is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Kendall whom she married August 15, 1992; daughters - Jenny (Mike) Oldrham of Swartz Creek and Lindi (Jeffrey) Saylor of Burton; granddaughters - Natalie Gwen Oldrham and Haley Marie Saylor; brothers - Tooker (Cathy) Hamilla of Flushing, Jon (Nan) Hamilla and C.J. Hamilla all of Flint, and David (Patty) Hamilla of Burton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Visiting time with family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
