Betty E. Livermore, age 94, of Munising, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at UP Health Systems – Marquette. She was born on May 27, 1924 in Chatham, Michigan to the late Arvid and Jenny Hill. In her younger years, Betty enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. She had lived Montana and Arizona for many years before moving back to Munising. Betty worked for Dunklee’s Wreaths picking pinecones, collecting greens, and building wreaths and then worked for many years as a housekeeper at the Sunset Motel. She enjoyed karaoke, line dancing, and taking trips to the casino.

Betty is survived by her daughters – Pat (Fred) Burley of Shingleton, Sharon (Bill) Robbins of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Debbie (Don) Kirmo of Escanaba; grandchildren – Julie, Brenda, Larry, Ken, Bonnie, Cathy, Bernie, Tina, Penn, Billie Jo, Donnie and Gary; 26 great grandchildren; 29 great-great grandchildren; siblings – Margaret Beaudry and Vickie (Joe) Shega; daughter-in-law – Mary Jean Humphry and Pat Nearing; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Arvid and Jenny; sons – Dennis, Bernard, and Gary Humphrey; sister – Bertha Ayotte; brothers – Frank, George, Bernie, Kenneth, Reino, Bob, Stanley, and Jack Hill.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Bowerman Funeral Home from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Pastor Ann Gonyea will conduct Betty’s funeral at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Munising Township Cemetery in Wetmore on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m..
