Delavan, MN / Munising / Manistique
Bonnetta "Bonnie" Rochefort, age 74, of rural Delavan Minnesota and formerly of Munising and Manistique, Michigan passed away September 28, 2015 at St. Marys Hospital of Rochester Minnesota surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born June 2, 1941 to Charles and Eleanor (Croschere) Boynton in Munising, Michigan. She grew up in Manistique MI, with her four brothers and one sister. Bonnie married Richard Rochefort Sr. in 1958 and together they had seven children. In 1969 she married Henry Tremblay and had three children. In January 1985 she reunited with Richard Rochefort Sr., and 6 step children. She will be remembered for being "Mom" to many across the states. She enjoyed baking, canning, crafting, creating specialty cakes, and being a 4-H leader back in Rudyard Michigan. Bonnie was an avid Bingo player, movie lover and looked forward to her camping trips back to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan every year. Bonnie loved holiday decorating and baking with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years Richard Sr.; children, Nancy (Scott) Bartley, Richard Jr. Rochefort, Rick Rochefort, Helen Talisman, Holi Germain, Lisa (Bill) Rohlik, Valerie (Chris) Balfe, Tammy (Elliott) Pomranky, Tina (Jim) Marsh, Kelcy (Shawn) Beck; step-children, Tina Rochefort, Sheila (Richard) Hoehn, Lisa (Kevin) Lange, Geneva (Taifa) Nyiendo, David (Nicci) Rochefort, Angela (Todd) Lange; 45 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Sally) Boynton, Jaqueline Boynton; best friend, Joyce Castle; and many friends, nieces and nephews. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Cameron Tremblay and Jordan Rochefort; 1 sister, 3 brothers; son-in-laws, David Talisman and Richard Germain. -
Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday October 1, 2015 at Patton Funeral Home of Blue Earth, MN. A second visitation will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising, MI. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery of Munising. A fellowship gathering will take place following the committal at the Lake Shore Manor.
