Bonnie Masters, age 72, of Munising, died peacefully at her home late Tuesday morning, November 3, 2020 with family at her side. She was born on July 22, 1948 in Munising to Joseph and Arvilla (Perry) Paquette, Sr. Bonnie attended Wm. G. Mather High School with the Class of 1966. She married Howard “Hammer” G. Masters on January 17, 1970 and together raised their three sons. Bonnie worked at Madigan’s, Hub’s, Bob’s IGA, and for her brother Joe and Sonny Putvin at Corktown and Munising Flower Shop. She then went to work for Kimberly Clark in 1984 and medically retired in 2009. Bonnie enjoyed flower gardening, camping, and cookouts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, sons, siblings, and their families.
She is survived by sons – Joe (Dione) Masters of St. Louis, MO, Todd “Tate” Masters of Munising, and Ryan (Stacey) Masters of Munising; grandchildren – Mackenzie, Bailey, Connor, and Lili; brothers – Joe (Lee) Paquette and Dee Jay (Heidi) Paquette of Munising; sisters – Shirley Petosky and Gail (Dave) Cromell of Munising; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Arvilla Paquette, infant sister Ethel Marie, husband Howie on March 6, 2013, nephew Greg Haverkate, and brother-in-law Paul Petosky.
Graveside services will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. It is asked that masks are worn and social distancing rules are complied with at the cemetery for the service.
