Braden Gregory Petska age 2 years of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin earned his angels wings on March 17, 2009. Braden passed away at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He was born on August 17, 2006 in McHenry, Illinois. The son of Rich and Stephanie (LaCombe) Petska.
Braden was born with a rare congenital heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He was a happy, healthy, energetic little boy who touched the hearts and lives of so many. His life was a true inspiration and gave many other families hope that one can thrive and love as much as he did despite having half a heart. He is survived by his parents - Rich and Stephanie; maternal grandparents - Greg and Patsy LaCombe; paternal grandparents - Harvey and Lois Petska; great-grandparents - Robert and Marge Stevens and Harvey Petska Sr.; aunt - Marci LaCombe; uncle - Nick Petska; and numerous great aunts and uncles and cousins. Braden was preceded in death by his aunt - Melissa Petska, great-grandmother Lillian Petska, great-grandparents - Jim & Pat LaCombe, Ruth &Bill Godell, Alden Trombly; and great uncle - Wayne Trombly.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 21, 2009 at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. Burial will be in Mound Prairie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday March 20th 2009 at the Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Homes .
