Brenda Wright, age 60, of AuTrain, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. She was born on October 1, 1951, in Munising, MI to Darwin and Marjorie (Bonevelle) Kroupa. Brenda graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School on June 5, 1969. She was always a hard worker, starting young at the Markel's Grocery, cleaning at the Harington Resorts, Avery Color Studio, and then Marquette General Hospital for over twenty years, where she was a Medical Transcriptionist for Pathology. Brenda enjoyed bowling, saunas, quilting, knitting, crocheting, ceramics, and bringing her famous incomplete potato salad to family events. She loved to be in the outdoors, bow hunting, fishing, camping, long rides on the back roads, and spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda was a member of the St. Therese Mission, Altar Society, and a volunteer at the Nifty Thrifty in Eben.
She is survived by her three children and their families - son Tom (Angelia) Hyde and his children Jason , Thomas, Savanah, Ozzy, Chayton, and Dominic. Daughter Heather (Bill) Nord and her children Travis, Aidan, Johnny, and Matthew. And son Marcus (Tiffany) Quarfoot and his daughter Hailey, all of AuTrain. Mother - Marge Kroupa; siblings - Debbie (Bob) Johnson, Becky (Mike) Kolbus, Mark Kroupa, Laura Kroupa, Darla (Brian Sharon) Kroupa, John (Jill) Kroupa, Michelle (Todd) Kulik, and Jim (Pam) Lockwood; life long friend - Tom Quarfoot; aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her son Jason Hyde, father Darwin, Thomas Hyde, niece Lilly Kulik, and grandparents.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Bowerman Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Father Chris Gardiner will celebrate Brenda's Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 10, at the St Therese Mission in AuTrain, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Serenity Pines Cemetery in AuTrain on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
