Brian D. Cromell, age 61, of Munising, died unexpectedly, Thursday, March 13, 2025 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Munising, Michigan on March 4, 1964. As a young boy, Brians passion for hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles was born. He graduated from Munising High School in 1982. Following high school Brian entered into the United States Marine Corps. After returning home, Brian started working in the woods and pouring cement with his dad Tom. Seasonally, he worked construction and spent his winters ice fishing. He worked at Bell Lumber and Pole in Shingleton for fourteen years, then at the landfill, and finally as a janitor at the Alger County Court House. Brian loved the outdoors, and in his later years he learned how to become a trapper. He continued to fish whenever he could, and his favorite was jigging for whitefish through the ice on Lake Superior and casting for bass in summers on the inland lakes.

Brian is survived by his children – Ashely (A.J.) Maxon of Munising, and twins Sophie and Michael Cromell; grandchildren – Gunnar and Kenzie; parents – Tom Cromell and Ninette Cromell; and brother – Jeff Cromell. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Cromell.

No public services are planned at this time. Brian’s obituary and online guestbook may be viewed and signed at bowermanfuneralhome.net
