Carol M. Robinson

August 8, 1941 — August 17, 2014

Munising
Carol M. Robinson, age 73, of Connors Road, died unexpectedly at her home early Sunday morning, August 17, 2014 following a one month illness. She was born on August 8, 1941 in Munising to the late Roy and Dorothy (LaHaie) Savoie. Carol graduated from Sacred Heart School and then attended Wm. G. Mather High School. On October 25, 1958, she married Robert L. Robinson and together they raised their three children. Carol was a homemaker and also worked at Little People's Day Care and the Super 8. Years ago, Bob and Carol enjoyed riding snowmobiles together with their friends, and they never missed an opportunity to dance. Some of Carol's family called them "Fred and Ginger" because of the way they would glide across the dance floor with each other. Carol also loved to read and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, working crossword puzzles, playing Yahtzee, and writing poetry. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her immediate and extended family.

She is survived by her husband of over fifty-five years - Bob of Munising; their children - Jody (Don) Tweedale of Munising, Ron Robinson of Alma, and Rob (Colleen) Robinson of Alma; grandchildren - Bryce Tweedale, Kimberly Tweedale, Rachel Robinson, Dustin Robinson, and Molly (Matt) Booth; great-grandchildren - Carter, Kaity, and Bennett; two sisters - Pat Shafer of Iron River and Gerry (Richard) Karr of Munising; in-laws - Florence (Bob) Goin, Wayne (Linda) Robinson, Allen (Mary Ann) Robinson, Bruce (Kim) Robinson, Mark Guest, Doc Fredricks, and Harold Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Dorothy, Bob's parents Elmer and Beatrice Robinson, brother Al (Sally) Savoie, sisters Irene (Bob) Coon, Phyllis (Don) Laundry, Joyce (Jack) McLeary, Mary (Frank) Hamlin, Janet (Dick) Murphey, Linda Guest, Vicki Fredricks, and Jean Brown; and in-laws - Clayton Robinson and Ralph Shafer.
Private family services will be held.
