Chandler Carl Lundbom
June 25, 1982 – November 1, 2021
Chandler Carl Lundbom was one of a kind. His entire adult life was spent fighting the good fight with a traumatic brain injury caused by a near fatal car wreck a week after he turned 21. Chandler overcame all the adversity by relearning to talk, walk, read, and write. Physical challenges did not deter his strong will. He worked hard at enjoying life, pushing through any limitations. He was tender but outspoken, wounded but strong, always playful in a serious way. Anyone who knew him had debated about something with him and his deep, old soul. The outcome was usually a smile, a giggle or outright laughter together with Professor Chan. He enjoyed keeping company with everyone, socializing in person, by phone or on his computer. He loved spending time listening to all kinds of music and painting, quite eclectic taste. Chandler said his memory was gone, but then often enough, he would remember details no one else could. What a guy! He had a creative mind, a wild spirit, and a soft heart. We will all miss him so much.
He is survived by his “Mom,” MaryAnn Heathfield; his dad, Terry Lundbom; stepmom, Debra Lundbom; sister, Angeline Lundbom; stepsister, Sheila Roberts; nephew, Alexander Van Zandt; niece, Siera Balko all from Munising; brother, Jordan Heathfield living in Hong Kong; also, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chan was a loving uncle, son, brother, and friend. He is always and forever on our minds and in our hearts.
