Chester "Chet" Brown, Jr.

 Chester “Chet” Brown, Jr., age 63, of Munising, died Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Medilodge of Munising. Chet was born on July 22, 1960 in Manistique, Michigan to the late Chester and Mercy (Graves) Brown, Sr. He grew up in the Boot Lake area where his love for the outdoors began. Chet started working in the woods alongside his father as a logger at a young age and worked in the forest most of his working career. Chet also worked downstate in construction specializing in concrete work. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and taking in the great outdoors. Chet was a kind good hearted man who would give you the shirt off of his back. He could and would talk to anyone, and with his upbeat and positive nature there is a good chance you were smiling by the end of the conversation. 

 Chet is survived by his siblings – Michael Brown of Holly, MI, Linda (Bill) Eimerman of Manistique, Robin (Jerry) Stack of Chesapeake Beach, MD, and Kevin Brown, of Manistique, several cherished nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father – Chester Brown, Sr.; mother - Mercy (Mack) Cousineau, infant son – Chester Brown III, brother – Gregory Brown, and sister – Gloria Jean (Dean) Anderson. 

 Private family services are being planned for a later date.
