Christopher D. Coady, age 54, of Munising, died unexpectedly of heart complications on Thursday morning, January 17, 2013 at his home in Munising. He was born on July 6, 1958 in Flint, Michigan to Joseph and Patricia. Chris graduated from Durand High School in 1977 and went to work at General Motors in Flint. He retired from there in 2006 and moved permanently to Munising. He and his wife Patty loved it here. Chris was a member of the Pictured Rocks Christian Fellowship. He liked being outdoors and worked creatively with driftwood.
Chris is survived by his son - Christopher M. Coady of Kalamazoo; his mother -Pat of Durand; father - Joseph of Durand; siblings - Theresa Purdy of Lennon, MI, Joseph J. Coady of Burton, MI, Dorene Rios of Lansing, MI, and Denise (Marcos) Deanda of Durand, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Patty in June of 2012.
Visitation will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Pastor Rob Rousseau will conduct Chris' funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home's chapel. A meal and time of fellowship will follow the funeral service at Pictured Rocks Christian Fellowship.
