Munising
Charles H. "Chuck" Mazzali, age 54, died Friday morning, September 28, 2012 in Munising under hospice care. Chuck was born on November 11, 1957 in Munising to William and Geraldine (Monette) Mazzali. He graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1975. Chuck had married Venita Palmer and they had three children together. He was a loving person and loved to help people. Chuck loved his children. He loved to give advice, but didn't take advice well - sometimes. His favorite sayings that will always be remembered were "Someday you will listen to me." "You'll learn someday." "For once in your life, do what I say." "The world is a bad place and getting worse.." Chuck was hard of hearing and he had some annoying traits, a few being: "What?", or talking too loud, or having his TV too loud. After making his point, Chuck would cut off further conversation. These attributes made him a very successful car salesman. Chuck's favorite attire was his bathrobe and slippers which he donned in front of the news or football games on TV. His best quality above all was his way of loving others. Chuck's heart was humble and sincere. He put others always above himself, remembering to help and love those less fortunate.
He is survived by his son - Travis Mazzali of Lansing; daughter - Charlotte Mazzali of Lansing who will have his first grandchild in April; parents - William and Gerry Mazzali of AuTrain, sisters - Deborah Mazzali of Temple, TX and Lisa Mazzali Swanberg of Albuquerque, NM; brother - Tony (Pam) Mazzali of Haslett, MI; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Chuck was preceded in death by his son Anthony, brothers Michael and William "Mac" Mazzali III, niece Michael Corbet, and grandparents Charles "Shorty" and Alice Mazzali, Herman Monette and Ellen Monette.
For those wishing to attend, a graveside service will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to the family.
