Munising
Cindy Kinney, age 57, of Munising died Friday, June 6, 2014 at her home under the loving care of her family and Northwoods Home Hospice. She was born on April 19, 1957 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Nelson Farrish and Beatrice (Lalonde) Butchicakis. Cindy married her childhood neighborhood friend Phillip Kinney on April 27, 1973, and together they raised their three children. She enjoyed fishing, canoeing, crocheting, going to the casino and playing BINGO. Cindy was a people person and lifelong caregiver. She always looked after the underdog, and took care of her family. She applied her kindheartedness into her work as Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) for Superior Shores, LMAS, and Tendercare. Although Cindy was a people person and able to make friends with anyone, she was not afraid to let you know what was on her mind.

Marie, Richard Farrish of Sturgeon Bay, WI, and Emily (Larry) Risser of Francis Creek, WI; brothers and sisters-in-law - Michael (Susan) Kinney of Sault Ste. Marie, Evelyn Johndrow of Sault Ste. Marie, and Harold "Dooder" (Julie) Kinney of Sugar Island; and numerous nieces and newphews. Cindy is preceded in death by her daughter - Becky Kinney; parents Nelson Farrish and Beatrice (Mike) Butchicakis; In-laws - Walter and Elizabeth Kinney; brothers-in-law - Kenneth Kinney, Howard McKelvie, and Bill Johndrow; and nephews - Lucas Kinney and Rodney Fish.
