Dale F. Stuttz, age 89, of Eben Junction, Michigan, died Friday, October 10, 2014 at his home in Eben. He was born on March 6, 1925 in Sylvania, Ohio to the late William and M. Wilma (Stinson) Stuttz. Dale entered the U.S. Army and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and was honorably discharged in 1946. He married Harriet Dunwell, and from this marriage they had three fine sons and a daughter. Dale later married Thelma M. Foster on April 20, 1967. He worked an assortment of jobs as a milk truck driver, dairy farmer, and in his later years for the U.S. Forrest Service. Dale enjoyed working and was very focused on his job at hand. He and Thelma moved the Upper Peninsula in 1989 where he continued farming. Dale was a member of the Dairy Heard Improvement Association (DHIA).
He is survived by his wife of over forty-seven years - Thelma of Eben Junction; sons - Bradford Stuttz of St. Paul Park, MN, James Stuttz of Palmyra, MI, and Richard Stuttz of Hudson, MI; daughter Dalet Samen of Kalamazoo, MI; seven grandchildren; sister - Eva, brother - Bill, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents William "Bill" and Wilma "Billie" and sister Joyce.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
