Daniel W. McConkey, age 43, Munising, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, January 20, 2009 at Tender Care Health Center, Munising. He was born December, 25, 1965 in Sault Ste. Marie to Frank and Sandra McConkey. Daniel attended school in Sault Ste. Marie. He assisted and managed Superflight for many years and also worked construction. Daniel was a member of a pool league in the Soo for many years. He enjoyed music, playing pool, slow-pitch softball, being with his friends, working on cars and spending time with his daughter.
Daniel is survived by his daughter - Sarah McConkey of Chatham; his parents - Frank McConkey of Sault Ste. Marie and Sandy (Jay) Puckett of Spirit Lake, ID; a brother - Chris Larson of Sault Ste. Marie; and a sister - Marnie Wilson of Spirit Lake, ID. He was preceded in death by a brother, David McConkey and a sister, Doreen McConkey.
