Darlene "Dolly" Lukowski, age 66, of Shepherd, Michigan and formerly of Shingleton, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. She was born on June 1, 1943 to the late Chester and Elna (Aho) Morin. Dolly graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in Munising in 1961. She married Joseph "Jim" Lukowski on September 1, 1962 and together they raised their three children. Dolly enjoyed bird watching, working in her flower garden, playing cards, and collecting anything Elvis.
She is survived by her husband of nearly forty-eight years - Jim Lukowski of Shepherd, MI; son - Jeffrey (Jean) Lukowski of Munising; daughters - Angela (Jason) Arntz of Mt. Pleasant and Lori Lukowski of Shepherd; grandchildren - Jeffrey Lukowski of Munising and Addison and Andrew Arntz of Mt. Pleasant; brothers - Chester "Chico" (Dolly) Morin of Trenary and Raymond "Butch" (Patty) Morin of Munising; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Elna.
Services for Dolly will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 with visitation time from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising. Deacon Tom Moseley will conduct Dolly's funeral at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel.
