Shingleton
David Henry Besaw, age 83, of 300 W. City Park Drive and formerly of Shingleton, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. He was born on October 12, 1929 in Shingleton to the late John and Margie (Worchock) Besaw. David attended school in Shingleton and worked in the woods. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, long walks in the woods, making homemade knives, and telling stories.
He is survived by his brothers - Thomas Besaw of Munising, William (Sharon) Besaw of Shingleton, and Donald "Duck" (Janet) Besaw of Shingleton; sisters - Eleanor (George) Livermore of VanMeer and Mary Mae Palmer of VanMeer; sister in law Margarget Besaw of Manistique; and numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Patrick, Stanley, and Alexander Besaw and sisters Marguerite and Alice Besaw.
Graveside services will be held at the Munising Township Cemetery in Wetmore on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason LaFlamme officiating.
