Munising
Devin Michael Albright, age 14 a freshman at Munising High School, died unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, April 11, 2006 at his home. He was born on June 2, 1991 in Fort Hood, Texas to Michael and Holly (Morin) Albright. Devin and his family lived in Texas while his dad was in the U.S. Army and then they moved to Fort Carson, Colorado before returning to Munising, his parent's home. As a young child, Devin loved playing Battle Trolls, Micro-Machines, Barney, being outside and swimming, watching Beauty and Beast over and over again, his own rendition of "Bad to the Bone", and picking on his sister, Kayla. As he got older, he played T-ball and Little League, Flag Football, and still picked on his sister. Devin loved football. He cheered for the Detroit Lions and played for the Mustangs, starting on offense and defense. He was twice voted on by his teammates and coaches the Orange Crush Player of the Game Award. The classes he enjoyed most were Metals/Welding, Outdoor Education, Art, and Gym Class. He enjoyed so many things. Devin loved hunting, fishing, having paintball tournaments, playing Play Station, X-Box, and Texas Hold'em Poker, listening to music, swimming, being outdoors, eating good food, snowboarding, jet skiing, dressing in the latest ECKO and G-Unit clothes, and "teaching" his parents how to use the computer. Family was important to Devin and he had a wonderful relationship with little kids. Children absolutely adored him.
