Diana McPherson, age 50, of Shingleton died Thursday, December 24, 2009, under the loving care of her husband and Lake Superior Hospice at Marquette General Hospital. She was born on March 21, 1959 in Merced, California. Diana graduated from Yuba City High in 1977. On June 15, 1990 she married Steven L. McPherson. Diana and Steve owned and operated M & D Sweeping in Sacramento, CA, where she was in charge of the office duties and also worked on the big equipment in the field. They recently moved to Shingleton. Diana after moving to the U.P. began working for Bay Care Medical. She enjoyed cooking and doing yard work. Diana also loved to sightsee, some of her favorite spots were Seattle, Hearst Castle, and anywhere on the ocean.
She is survived by her husband of over nineteen years Steven of Shingleton; three stepchildren - Brook, Steven, and Shannon; mother - Billie Jean Blankenship; sisters - Barbara and Lori; mother and father-in-law - Ken and Dorothy McPherson; and cousin Thelma Pugh. Diana is preceded in death by her grandmother - Lottie Brooks.
A memorial service will be on Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Munising Baptist Church in Wetmore, beginning at 3:00 p.m. A lunchon will follow the service at the Munising Township Community Building in Shingleton.
