Dianne K. Wieczorek, age 69, of Munising, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Munising Memorial Hospital. She was born July 19, 1953 in Brighton, Michigan to the late Thomas and Maxine Louk. Dianne graduated from high school in Detroit. She married Frank Wieczorek and together they raised their four children. They moved their growing family to the U.P. in the mid-1980’s and eventually made their home on Sixteen Mile Lake Road in 1987. Dianne loved raising her children out in the woods, and they loved rides in the woods down the old two-tracks, picnics, blueberry picking, and creating homemade boats to float down the streams in the spring. She was very crafty and would embellish the presents and letters she would send her children with personal artwork and decorative bows. Dianne was a talented baker and cook. She took great time and care in all of her baked goods making sure the presentation was perfect. She made the best homemade spaghetti sauce that was a favorite at the football team spaghetti feeds, and her kids would fight for the last piece of her pepperoni bread. Dianne worked for many years in housekeeping at Days Inn and cleaned at multiple family homes. She also worked as a teachers aid and cook in the Head Start program and would often volunteer as a chaperone on her kids’ fieldtrips. Dianne loved the Lord, church, and reading the Bible. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and looked forward to Bible study.
Dianne is survived by her children – Jason Wieczorek of Marquette, Andrew (Jennifer) Wieczorek of Harvey, Adam (Kimberly) Wieczorek of Green Bay, WI, and Amber (Jeff) Diedrich of New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren – Serena, Mackenzie, Courtney, and Collin; siblings – Emily, Pauline, Lonnie, and James.
