Eileen E. Gerry, age 67, of Sand Point Road, Munising, died on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 9:25 p.m. at the Munising Memorial Hospital. She was born to William and Doris (Benac) Howarth in New Bedford, Massachusetts on February 18, 1941. Eileen graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester, NY and then from Orange County Community College in Middleton, NY as a Registered Nurse. She worked as an R.N. at the Orange County Jail, Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY, and in the Emergency Room at Arden Hospital in Goshen, NY for twenty years, retiring from there. Eileen moved to Munising in 1994 and she loved having her view of the Lake for four seasons. She also enjoyed cooking and loved her dog, Prancer.
Eileen is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law - Brian (Robin) Riley of Munising, Kevin (Yolanda) Riley of Glenspey, NY, Charles (Laura) Baker of Jefferson, WI, and Scott (Christine Tyrell) Baker of Cazenovia, NY; grandchildren - Phillip, Courtney, Kelsey, Yvonne, Eric, Destiny, Jennifer, Christopher, Ethan, and Ella; and her brother - Paul (Linda) Howarth of Overland Park, Kansas. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and her son Danny in 1997.
Private family services will be held.
