Elizabeth "Betty" M. Card

AuTrain             Elizabeth "Betty" Card, age 94, of AuTrain, died on Saturday morning, March 29, 2014 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on March 24, 1920 in Marquette, Michigan to the late Louis and Rachel Augusta "Gussie" (Doucette) Eiseman. Betty graduated from Bishop Baraga High School in 1938, and then moved with her family to AuTrain. She married Joseph Card on September 18, 1943 and together they raised their three children. Betty was a faithful member of St. Therese Catholic Mission in AuTrain, where she was active in the altar society. She loved to read (sometimes a book a day), crossword puzzles, and keeping up with what was happening in AuTrain. Betty was also known as "Grandma Betty", not only by her grandkids, but many other who knew and loved her.             She is survived by her daughters - Paulette (Anthony ) Drake of AuTrain and Mary Beth Perry of Green Bay; grandchildren - Kim (Jim) Steinhoff, Jeff (Andrea) Drake, Kristy (Bob) Drake, Karen Drake, Shawn (Carla) Perry, Christopher (Crystal) Perry, Jennifer Perry, and Rebecca (Jacob) Bader; great-grandchildren - Betty Jo, Jimmers, Kaitlin, Jeffrey T., Nicholas, Kyle, Kody, Westin, Riley, Perry, Carlee, Miranda, Wyatt, Rochelle, and Taylor; and great-great-grandchildren - Ariana and Conner. Betty was preceded in death by her parent - Louis and Gussie; husband - Joseph; son - Timothy Card; grandson - Todd Perry; brother - Robert (Phyllis) Eiseman; and son-in-law - Robert Perry.             Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Therese Mission Church in AuTrain from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Father Chris Gardiner will celebrate a Betty's funeral Mass at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Serenity Pines Cemetery in AuTrain in the spring.
