Ella "Sis" Cox, age 83, of 108 W. Chocolay Street, Munising, died on Saturday evening, February 2, 2008 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on May 7, 1924 in Munising to William and Ida (Sylvester) Cox. Sis graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1942 and then St. Luke's in 1946. She was a Registered Nurse at the University of Michigan for over twenty years where she was the Head Nurse of Hematology. Sis returned to Munising in 1977. She enjoyed wintering in Florida where she also liked to fish and she loved being at Camp at Lost Lake. She also enjoyed flower gardening and working in her yard.
Sis is survived by her sister - Louise Tiernan of Munising; her brothers - Bill (Dorothy) Cox and Jim (Ruth Ann) Cox all of Munising; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Thomas (Pat) and Harold George Cox and her sister Ruth Cox.
There will be no public services held.
