Emily Peters, age 69, of Wetmore, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 3, 2021.  She was born in Marquette, Michigan on June 20, 1952.  Emily moved to Munising and raised her family in Brown’s Edition before moving to Wetmore.  She worked for many years as a housekeeper at the Comfort Inn.  Emily enjoyed suduko puzzles, reading mystery and romance novels, and spoiling her dog.  She loved spending time with family, especially playing BINGO and family poker night.

Emily is survived by her longtime partner – Leroy Bonneau; children – Jamie “Bubba” Peters, Michael Peters, Daniel “Boone” Peters, Lena (Christopher) Broome, and Ranee Bonneau; grandkids – Paige Peters, Tyler Sasso, and Joey Bonneau;  siblings – Jimmy Ward, Diana Ward-Garrow, Peggy (Clyde) Garrow, Regina Ward, Robin (Gerry) Schofield, and Julie (Orville) Southwind; aunt - Linda Seymour; Tonya, Tammy, Elizabeth, Sonny, Dion, Vern, Donna and many more special nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents June and Buck Ward, grandmother Elizabeth Nikunen, daughter-in-law Pamala Registe, and grandson Jamal Marshall.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising, with her service beginning at 11:00.
