Ernest “Ernie” Garfield Reimer, Sr. of Limestone, Mich. passed away on June 30, 2016 at Tendercare Health Center in Munising, Mich. with his children by his side at the age of 71. He was born on January 19, 1945. Ernie was an extremely hard worker and worked in the woods (piece maker) his whole life. He enjoyed being outside, playing cards, and watching western movies and was an excellent mechanic in his youth.
Ernie is survived by his four children and their spouses; Christopher (Terri) Reimer of Escanaba, Mich., Ernest G. Reimer Jr. of Gladstone, Mich., Jane (Jeremy) Britton of Escanaba, Mich., Melissa (Dave) Reimer of Wells, Mich., and 15 grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
A private ceremony will be held by the family.
