Fern E. Johnson, age 92, of Christmas, died on January 10, 2010 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She was born in Munising on November 17, 1917 to the late George and Rachael (Griffith) Fromm. Fern married Vernon "Bud" Johnson on April 27, 1935.
She is survived by her four children - Maryadell (Ken) Sturdevant of Rochester Hill, MI, George (Ruth) Johnson of Clarkston, MI, Gerald (Pat) Johnson of Rochester Hills, and Carol Cronin of Pontiac, MI; fourteen grand children; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Fern was preceded in death by her husband Bud, daughter Jacquolyn Johnson, and son-in-law Jim Cronin.
A Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church in Munising at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery
