Frances "Fran" Jean (Moulds) Livermore

Frances “Fran” Livermore, age 72, of Van Meer, died Saturday afternoon, September 3, 2016 at UP Health Systems Marquette with her family by her side.  She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 20, 1943 to the late Russell and Lillian (Mattson) Moulds.  Fran and her family moved to Munising when she was a young child.  While in high school, she excelled in track and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1962.  Fran married Fredrick Austin Livermore on June 9, 1962.  She was a homemaker when her sons were young, and after they started school, Fran began working with the Head Start Program.  She attended advanced training for Head Start at Michigan State University and she also took credits at Northern Michigan University.  Fran went to work at C.C.I. in the sawmill.   When the veneer mill opened, she worked there as a veneer grader.  Fran then began employment with Kimberly Clark and she retired from there in 1999 as a paper tester.  Fran loved playing women’s softball and played for many years.  She then enjoyed watching her grandchildren play.  Fran also bowled in many different leagues.  She enjoyed playing cribbage and euchre, throwing horseshoes, traveling with Fred, crocheting, and Artex painting.

She is survived by her husband of over fifty-four years – Fred Livermore of Van Meer; sons and daughters-in-law – Fred and Pam Livermore of Munising and Brian and Connie Livermore of Rumely; four grandsons – Fred (Felicia) Livermore, Shane (Rebecca) Livermore, Adam (Kelsey Maki) Livermore, and Cody (Molly) Livermore; granddaughter – Courtney Livermore; four great-granddaughters – Lennon, Presley, Linleigh, and Averie; and a great-grandson due this month; sisters – Millie (George) Mannisto of Wetmore and Sharon (Ray) Syers of Shingleton; mother-in-law – Lucille Livermore of Wetmore; sister-in-law – Robin Moulds; former sister-in-law Judy Moulds; and numerous other brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.   Fran was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dale Moulds, and father-in-law Norman Livermore.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Bowerman Funeral Home.  Pastor Jason LaFlamme with conduct Fran’s funeral service in the funeral home’s chapel on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.   Interment will be at the Munising Township Cemetery in Wetmore and she will be escorted by her two sons and four grandsons.
