Frank "Buckshot" Joseph Livermore, age 62, of Shingleton, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 18, 2016 in the emergency room at Munising Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 23, 1953 in Munising, Michigan to the late John and Antoinette “Toots” (Niedzwiecki) Livermore. Frank graduated from William G. Mather High School in Munising and then entered into the United States Navy. He worked for many years in the woods logging and at the Graves' Saw Mill. Frank loved spending time with his grandsons and enjoyed anytime he could spend in the outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, snowmobiling, and finishing the day with a cold beer.
Frank is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sheila and Dale Merkes of Appleton, Wisconsin, and his grandsons Bryce and Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Toots Livermore and infant daughter Patty Ann Livermore.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Pastor William Livermore will conduct Frank’s funeral service at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Graveside services will take place at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. The American Legion and Vietnam Veteran Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
