Geraldine Mae (Herling) Methot

Geraldine Mae Methot, age 92 passed away at the Brook of Grayling, October 29th, 2022. She was born in Detroit on April 22nd, 1930. She grew up in Southgate, Michigan and attended Wyandotte Roosevelt High School. After Nurses Training at Harper Hospital, she married Arnold (Tiny) Methot  on May 1st, 1954. Over time, they resided in Wyandotte, Michigan, AuTrain, Michigan, Luzerne, Michigan as well as Port and New Port Richey, Florida.

Geraldine and her husband traveled extensively to include Europe, Mexico and Alaska. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Munising Post. Her hobbies were quilting, needle work and puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ida Herling and her husband Arnold. Gerry is survived by her son and daughter in-law Lawrence (Woody) Methot, Betsy Methot, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be with her husband of sixty-one years at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising in the family plot on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.with Pastor Tera Kossow officiating and a service with fellow members of the American Legion Auxiliary.  A fellowship gathering at the American Legion will follow the services at the cemetery.
