Munising
Henrietta E. LaCombe, age 97, of 1518 Sand Point Road, died early Wednesday evening, January 25, 2012 at Harbour View Assisted Living in Munising. She was born on February 14, 1914 in Munising to Hercules "Archie" and Louise (Rivard) St. Martin. On November 20, 1937, she married Arnold "Speck" LaCombe and together they raised their eight children. Henrietta was a homemaker, she worked at the Munising Woodenware, and she cleaned homes in the area. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She and Speck were married over sixty-nine years when he preceded her in death on June 1, 2007. Henrietta loved to read and she enjoyed keeping up with current events and politics. She was a good detective and her children rarely outsmarted her.
Henrietta is survived by seven children - Thomas LaCombe of Elizabeth City, NC, Diane (John) Popp of Midland, MI, Mary Kaye (Tom) Fulcher of Munising, Lorraine (Rick) Runsat of Slapneck, Susie LaCombe Anderson of Munising, Dan (Phyllis) LaCombe of Christmas, Celeste (Rob) Wiitanen of Munising; daughter-in-law - Jean Ann (Wilcox) LaCombe of AuTrain; son-in-law - Harold Anderson of Munising; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law - Vivian Rousseau; brother-in-law - Bill LaCombe; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Speck, son David LaCombe, daughter-in-law - Darlene (McNally) LaCombe; granddaughter - Gail (Popp) Eggleton, grandson - Thomas Daniel Fulcher, six brothers, and five sisters.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 12:10 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Munising and interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
