Munising
Irma Paluch, age 86, of Munising died late Monday evening, August 25, 2008 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on November 27, 1921 in Masonville, Michigan to Frank and Minnie (Brisson) Dott. Irma grew up in Munising and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1939. She married Victor George Paluch in 1946. Irma worked at the State Capital in Lansing for three months, worked as the Munising City Clerk, and the Alger County Road Commission before working for all generations of the Nebels at Nebel & Nebel Law Office. Irma worked as a legal secretary for many years before retiring from there. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters. Irma enjoyed visiting the casino, playing cards, and she loved watching game shows on television.
She is survived by her daughter - Irene Ann Paluch of Ann Arbor, four nephews, and one niece. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor in 1983, brother Francis "Bud" Dott and sisters Eleanor Lucier, Irene Howard, and Bernice Bryers.
Father Chris Gardiner will celebrate a Memorial Mass for Irma on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
