Jackie “Jack” Edgar Perry, age 84, of Munising, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Medilodge of Munising. He was born on March 3, 1938 to the late Edward and Eva (Bonner) Perry, Sr. Jack graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1956. While in high school, Jack started working for Don Norlin at Don’s City Service and then continued his job as a mechanic after graduation. He later went on to work at the Zephyr and Spur gas stations. Jack enjoyed bow hunting and archery shooting, bowling, reading Louis L’Amour Westerns, and singing and playing his guitar. Jack would play at family gatherings and the Brown Derby and Beaver Park with his mom on piano and he and brother Buck on their guitars. He was a talented mechanic, and enjoyed working on his own cars, often riding in the 4th of July Parade in his convertible. Jack was jokester and loved teasing his sisters.
He is survived by his daughter – Jodie Willis; grandson – Daniel McLachlan, Jr.; great-grandchildren – Brent, Leela, and Mason; sister – Joyce Rindhage; brother-in-law – Arnold Aho; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents - Edward and Eva; siblings – Edward “Buck” (Colleen) Perry, Jr., Lori (Jess) Leffel, Bill (Helen) Perry, and Phyllis Aho; and brother-in-law – Jim Rindhage.
Per Jack’s request, there will be no public services at this time. Jack’s family would like to thank Karen for her countless hours of care and support she gave Jack over these past years.
