 Jacqueline “Jackie” Jackson, age 88, of Manistique died Saturday, August 24, 2024 at her home under the loving care of her family and Schoolcraft Memorial Homecare and Hospice. She was born on January 13, 1936 in Garden, Michigan to the late Jack and Adel (Kauthen) LaCost. Jackie married Russell Jerome Jackson on January 31, 1954 and together they had four children. Jackie was a homemaker and raised her children at home. She also opened her home to many other children as a caregiver over the years. Jackie enjoyed knitting, reading, mowing the lawn, canning, and chasing her children and grandchildren all over. She was one who enjoyed being home and spending time with family. Jackie loved her Catholic faith and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

 She is survived by her children – Russell James (Arbor Voltz) Jackson of Manistique, Kimberly (William) Chartier of Gooseneck Lake, Ann (Buster) Grunwell of Munising, and Jane (Gary) Kagarise of Ishpeming; grandchildren – Jamie Marie Jackson, Theresa Marie Chartier, William Russell Chartier, Jodie (Chris) Jackson, and Brandon (Hailey) Kagarise; great-grandchildren – Wyatt, Wesley, Bailey Grace, Adel, Payton, Lynn-Jane, Georgie, and Finn; sister-in-law – Jean LaCost; brother-in-law – Jim (Janice) Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents – Jack and Adel; husband – Russell; siblings – Bob, Jim, and Mary Ann LaCost.

 A graveside service will take place at the New Garden Cemetery in Garden on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.

 Jackie’s family would like to give a special thank-you to Joanne Sartori, Father Ben, Charley, Angie and Barb Wood.
