James "Jim" William Niedzwiecki

Sobieski, WI / Munising

James William Niedzwiecki, age 77, of Sobieski, WI and formerly of Munising, died Saturday, December 21, 2024 at home following an illness. He was born in Munising, Michigan on August 14, 1947 to the late Joseph and Tillie (Fleck) Niedzwiecki. Jim was raised in Munising and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1965. He married Ruth “Peaches” Moulds on August 24, 1968 and together they lovingly raised their daughter, Amy. He served one tour in Vietnam in the Army in 1969-70. Jim retired from Neenah Paper in 2007 after twenty years of service. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and having coffee and lunch at his favorite restaurants. 

 Jim is survived by his wife of over fifty-six years - Ruth “Peach” Niedzwiecki of Sobieski, WI ; daughter Amy (Tim) Barrett; grandson Fisher Barrett; brother – Joe (Linda) Niedzwiecki; two sisters – Camie (Larry) Miller and Gail (Dan) Woelfel; nephews – J.B. (Amy), Aaron, Mike (Linda), and Scott; nieces – Chris, Cindy, and Tressa (Patrick). Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother Randy.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
