James “Jim” Storch, age 76, of Trenary, died on Saturday evening, June 3, 2017 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising following a six-month illness. He was born on December 22, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late John and Elaine (LaLond) Storch. Jim grew up in Trenary and helped on the family farm. He loved to drive things (cars, tractors, snowmobiles, or a school bus) whether he had permission or not. Jim enjoyed being with his family and once he got to know you, he never forgot your name, face, or what kind of car you drove. When he lived in Marquette, Jim enjoyed working at the food pantry and a lumber yard through a disability work program.
He is survived by his siblings – Charlie (Karen) Storch of Texas, Fred (Linda) Storch of Mason, MI, Betty (Leo) Aho of Rapid River, Robert Storch of Trenary, Sally Williams of Mason, MI, and Connie (Mike) Young of Gladstone; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Storch.
