Janice Arda (Whippen) Meyer

Janice Arda (nee Whippen) Meyer, age 52, of Onsted, Michigan and formerly of Munising, died unexpectedly, following a brief illness on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Upper Peninsula Health Systems – Marquette.  She was born on June 4, 1965 in Jackson, Michigan, daughter to William and Janet (Berg) Whippen.  Janice married Stuart E. Meyer on October 16, 1982 and together they raised their two children.  She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.  Janice enjoyed watching the birds, playing pool and cards, hanging out with friends and neighbor, and above all playing with her grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her smile, which could light up a room.

Janice is survived by her husband – Stuart Meyer; son – Jeff (Jennifer) Meyer; daughter – Leslie (Brent) McMordie; mother – Janet Whippen; brother – Bill Whippen, Jr.; grandchildren – Brynnlee and Alayna Meyer and Quinn and Elise McMordie.  She was preceded in death by her father – Bill Whippen.

A memorial service will be held at Eden Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a fellowship gathering.
