Munising
John "Jack" Henry Drumsta, age 54, of Munising, died unexpectedly, on Saturday, June 25, 2011. He was born on March 14, 1957, in Mt. Clemons, MI to Henry "Hank" and Wanda (Hebert) Drumsta. While Jack was an infant his family left the Detroit area and moved to Munising and purchased Hilltop Grocery Store. He made his Holy Communion and Confirmation at Sacred Heart Church. Jack Graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School. He was an outdoorsman who loved to walk to all of the waterfalls in Munising and build snowmen with his daughter, fish, and deer hunt. Jack loved to cook for others and was always very creative in the kitchen. He was a master plumber and a "Jack" of all trades. Jack had a good sense of humor, and was full of jokes.
He is survived by his daughter Jill Drumsta of Troy, MI; siblings - Jim (Charlotte) Mathis of St Clair Shores, MI, Susan Mathis of Eagan, MN, Cheryl (Art) Drumsta Milton of Sweet Springs, MO, David (Susan) Drumsta of Hermantown, MN, and Nancy (Thomas Huncha) Drumsta of Buffalo, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack is preceded in death by his parents Hank and Wanda, and brothers Art and Mike Drumsta.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Bowerman Funeral Home. Jack's memorial service will begin at 11:00 at the funeral home.
