Munising
John Clifford McNally, age 63, of 518 Lynn Street, died peacefully at his home in the arms of his mother on Sunday evening, September 1, 2013 following a three month illness. He was born in Munising on April 28, 1950. He is survived by his mother - Dawn Morrison of Marquette; sisters - Cheryl (Paul) Heyrman and April (Larry) Heyrman of Munising; brother - David (Terry) McNally of Indiana; many special friends; aunt - Tot (Glen) St.Peter of California; and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John was a well decorated U.S. Army veteran who served his country in Vietnam with a lot of pride. He was most happy when he was out at someone's camp with all of his friends and also at his second home - the casino. John walked many miles throughout the town every day. He always enjoyed a good conversation and a good cup of coffee.
The American Legion and Vietnam Veterans Honor Guards will conduct military honors in the Veteran's section at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. A fellowship gathering will take place at the American Legion following the services.
