Judith K. “Jude” DesJardins, age 70, of Munising, died Saturday, January 14, 2023 at her home under the loving care of her longtime friend and companion Scot and Northwoods Home Hospice. She was born on March 4, 1952 in Cass City, Michigan to the late Lewis and Edith (Nybeck) DesJardins. Jude grew up in Munising and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1970. She moved to Long Island, New York and then married Dale Moulds. They lived in Europe for a short time while Dale was stationed there in the service. Jude worked at a number of different jobs in the area from Timber Products, gas stations, and Denman’s and Madigan’s Hardware. She was a real people person and enjoyed visiting with co-workers and customers. Jude had a love for animals and cared for her many cats and dogs. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, staying at deer camp, and time on Townline Lake.
She is survived by Scot Adair of Munising; siblings – Pat (Xiaoqin) DesJardins of Seattle, WA, Duane (Bee) DesJardins of Lake Geneva, WI, Cindy (Tom) Moseley of Munising, Rod (Shawna) DesJardins of Munising, Tim (Dawn Marie) DesJardins of Seattle, WA, Terry (Ree) DesJardins of Munising, and Tammy (Scott) Wyman of Gladstone; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents – Lewis DesJardins, Edith (John) Matson; and brothers Michael DesJardins and Darrell “Peanut” DesJardins and sister Linda (Joe) Cotey.
Graveside services for Jude will be on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery.
