Julie Ann Trombly, age 54, of Munising, died early Sunday morning, February 22, 2015 at U.P. Heath System - Marquette following a brief illness. She was born in Marquette on June 21, 1960 to Leslie and Arlene (Leppanen) Ylinen. Julie grew up in Eben and graduated from Eben High School in 1979. She worked as a waitress and bartender at the Village Pub, Shooters, Corktown, and Log Jam. On December 5, 1997, Julie married Frank "Crockett" Trombly, Sr. They were married over fourteen years when Crockett preceded her in death on July 4, 2012. Julie enjoyed picking flowers, being outdoors, spending time with her friends, and talking on the phone. Julie was a kind hearted and caring person who loved her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother - Arlene Ylinen (George LaBeau) of Ishpeming; sister - Pam (Duane) Bocklund of Negaunee; aunts - Bonnie (Fred) Frohner of Jerome, MI, Carole (Jim) Sipila of AuTrain, and Evelyn Keskimaki of Gwinn; uncle - Dennis (Ruth) Leppanen of Florida; stepsons - Frank Trombly, Jr. of Munising, Adam Trombly and family of Munising, and Eric Trombly of Marquette; niece - Michelle (John) Swanson of Little Lake; and numerous cousins. Julie was preceded in death by her husband Crockett, father Leslie, brother Bryan Ylinen, and her grandparents.
Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Pastor Paul Kelto will conduct Julie's funeral service in the funeral home's chapel at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
