K Ann Witty

K Ann Witty (and charming, too), age 59, of Christmas, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the McLaren Central Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She was born on October 25, 1965 in Albany, Oregon. K grew up in Oregon and graduated from high school at the age of 15. She moved to Munising, Michigan and married Teddy Brown, Sr. and together they had three children. K loved the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, sitting around a bonfire with a beer, and listening to good music. She was a great mother and an even better grandmother, known as “Mammo”. She loved spending time with her grandkids. She recently took an exciting cruise to Alaska with Jayden, she bought a side-by-side to take the kids for rides in the woods, and would watch Lilly’s dance videos on repeat. K worked for KMG Properties and was the Property Manager for multiple locations including the Jericho House in Munising, Chatham Mannor, and properties as far West as Ewen and Wakefield. K went above and beyond for her residents and made sure they received the support and assistance that was so crucial for them. K would bake cookies and invite the trick-or-treaters to the Jericho House to make sure both the kids and the residents would have a chance to share in the festivities. She also made sure that all her residents had a place to gather for Thanksgiving to be together and enjoy the holidays. K was loved by so many and became an extra grandparent to countless children. She lived her life with an amazing sense of humor, open heart and open arms to everyone she met. 

 K is survived by her children – Teddy “T.J.” Brown of Ionia, MI, Rose (Mark) Kimberlin of Hebron, IN, and Katie Brown of Christmas and step-son, Ray Brown of Gwinn, MI; grandchildren – Jayden, Frankie, Lilly, Nick, Tyler, and Katence. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Wanda Thorson and brothers Mel and John Thorson.
